NEWS, VIEWS AND OPINIONS. SERVING THE INFORMED AND PROGRESSIVE HIP HOP COMMUNITY

     Back to HOME BLOG ARCHIVE

Way to go Tim Hardaway. You went from the man with the ILLest crossover to the man with the ILLest X-over of the mouth!! From Allstar to isn't even allowed to attend the Allstar game.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions (and boy do we all have some) regardless of how ridiculous they are.  Don't forget Michael "Kramer" Richards (Smash Crew just has this thing about ACCOUNTABILITY).

Not agreeing with a Gay person’s lifestyle is one thing, but the substance of his language took me back to a time not so long ago when they said the same thing about BLACK people.  Maybe we need to take a look back!

Although I disagree with his comments , I will not how ever put one;s sexuallity in comparison to one's race. NO! what one do to PREFERENCE of their life is lite years behind what one has no choice or chance to hide or come out of the closet. Most blacks did not have the option to HIDE their blackness. Gay movement and Civil Rights is two movements that need notice but are NOT hand in hand.

I would find some peace with Tim Hardaway's remarks if only it compelled him to face and eradicate his unjustified rage and hate for other innocent human beings. As long as he continues to justify holding on to this hate for other human beings who are not a threat to his well being and contribute more good to this world by being teachers and lawyers for intance yet are exposed to more suffering like homelessness and violence, his hate perpetuates hate in others for the gay community and this is exactly what a loving God would not want in this world.

a LOVING God Term , would be in Dispute of the WRITTEN doctrine called the Bible, This is the essence of Debate when it comes to this topic. The press knew exactly what it was doing when they applied this war machine of a question. Some feel it was stupid or uncalled for for the Former player to speak to the press on his COMING OUT the closet what was the point? To Gain attention for the gay community. There is a BIG difference on being biased against based upon what you look like and what is your sexual peference, before the man admitted what was his sexual preference he lived his life as an everyday civilian everyday bum basketball player. True bias does not give you that option. like I said Tim's comments was off base but pales NOT in comparison to one describing true hate on a status of a human not the sex life of a human.

The purpose of this post was not to debate the whether Hardaway was right or wrong on his personal opinions about gay people. I just wanted to point out the his lanuage.. which can be reversed to what racist and bigots said about black people. As to agree with Bronx intelligence this is not a defense of the gay agenda which i do feel cannot be equated with the civil rights movemement. language can have the same effect as weapons.

Brother Beale you are correct , His words were hideous darts that would give AMO to the group of people who would use the Racial times as comparrison which would then show how the mass majority view Blacks and the Black struggle by comparing it to the Gay struggle.
